Bursaries For 2015 Ukzn Trust Bursaries

Student Funding administered bursaries (mostly for returning undergraduate students at UKZN) are usually awarded after Registration to financially needy applicants whose current Gross Family Income does not exceed R150,000 per year and who pays 100% of their registered courses in the previous year’s exam sessions and, who achieve an average mark above 64.5% in those same courses.

The Trust does not accept direct applications from students for its bursaries. The Trustees make awards from a shortlist of qualifying students provided by the University, along with details of their family income and academic records. The Trust’s focus always has been on the individual students it tries to help.

DST/NRF SARChI (Poverty Reduction) Masters Bursaries (2015) The School of Built Environment and Development Studies, University of KwaZulu-Natal, is pleased to announce Masters Bursaries for 2015. There are two bursaries for Master’s study attached to the DST/NRF Research Chair in Applied Poverty Reduction Assessment, held by Professor Bracking.

Bursaries will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, accommodation and meals or stipends. Bursary recipients will be required to serve the provincial department as part of the bursary service obligation (for the equal amount of time of funding received).
